Governments need to stop using COVID as an excuse to treat us like children
What began as sensible safety has now reduced us to ignorant children who are incapable of looking after ourselves.
What began as sensible safety has now reduced us to ignorant children who are incapable of looking after ourselves.

At the start of this pandemic, governments imposed many rules in the spirit of safety. For the most part, they were prudent, because we were all ignorant about how deadly the virus was and how it spread. But many governments have overreached, going further than is right in a free society. What began as sensible safety has now reduced us to ignorant children who are incapable of looking after ourselves.

Freedom is fragile. When the rules overreach, when they go beyond what is required, it becomes dangerous and may even set a precedent for future scenarios. We have freedom not because of things written down on paper, but because we insist on living it as a way of life. When we act like sheep, we become sheep.

We now find ourselves living in a world where personal freedom must be given based on the whims of politicians. We have decided that we can put our freedoms on hold because the state knows best. To object is to be labelled a right-wing extremist, an anti-masker or an anti-vaxxer. It’s a form of social bullying.

In Toronto, where I live, we somehow became the most locked-down city in North America. Over the weekend, roughly 5,000 citizens demonstrated against the latest lockdown rules. It is a sign that many of us are sick of the government trying to run our lives.

Think of some of the inane things Ontario has mandated in this latest lockdown.

Last evening about dinner time (optimum time for them) the absolute imbeciles in charge of destroying our economy and the social fabric of Manitoba again used the ‘Emergency Alert System’ to warn us of impeding doom. Our cell phones emitted an ear splitting screech. The wife jumped and said “WTF was that!”. I had to get a broomstick to pry the gawd damned cat off of the ceiling….

Using this system (designed for a real emergency) in this situation is irresponsible beyond belief. It’s pouring gasoline onto an already manufactured fire. It’s less about who the moron is who came up with this idea and more about the idiots in charge who agreed it was a good idea. Ya, that’s Dr. Roussin (who did not receive a single vote last election or ever) and our useless coward PROGRESSIVE conservative Premier. 2 weeks ago the CDC said masks were no longer necessary yet we still have a mask mandatory order. Not a defence for disease, a symbol of control. A pox on their houses.

Oh, and the ICU crisis? Well maybe if (as per FOIA documents) PROGRESSIVE conservative Premier Pallister hadn’t cut ICU capacities by 20% or shuttered down half the ER’s we wouldn’t be in near the situation we are? Just a thought. And here’s another thought. Where in hell is the leader of the CPC? Oh ya, telling Canadians if they elect him he will help the middle class. There won’t be a middle class much longer. What a buffoon.

Fear and Social Control

Fear is one of the most powerful human emotions. While highly useful in situations where threat of immediate harm exists, it is the most debilitating and dangerous of emotions when present unnecessarily. In this video we will examine how fear can be used as a tool to manipulate others, and how those in positions of power, past and present, have effectively used fear to control certain aspects of society.

“There are more things…likely to frighten us than there are to crush us; we suffer more often in imagination than in reality.” (Letters from a Stoic, Seneca)

The Chief Provincial Public Health Officer, the Premier, now the Mayor of Winnipeg. All of them need to voluntarily step aside or be forced to yield to those with a lick common sense. JHC now our Mayor is begging the Feds to send in the army! The hysteria exhibited by Manitoba public officials has completely spiralled out of control. They have lost their marbles. Brian Giesbrecht type rational thinkers needed to replace them all.

GIESBRECHT: Past pandemics handled with common sense

Great events in history usually have one picture that manages to capture their essence. The iconic photo of the American troops planting the flag on Iwo Jima does it for WWII, and the disturbing picture of the naked little girl running for her life from napalm, perfectly captures the horror that was the Vietnam War. But for Canada’s year of pandemic misery, that one iconic picture might well be the one of Alberta’s Pastor Artur Pawlowski, being forced to his knees on the pavement and handcuffed — for the “crime” of worshipping in his church.

Oh Canada, who stands on guard for thee? Easy answer. No one.

From articles in Winnipeg’s (Manitoba’s) two major newspapers.
– On brink of being overwhelmed;
– 2nd highest single-day tally of new cases;
– Code Blue;
– Pallister asks feds for health workers to help in battle;
– Bowman (Winnipeg Mayor) wants $100G fines for heath orders violators;
– rules change for golf courses (identify papers please); (who ever imagined golf courses were petri dishes for Covid?)
– Mayor urges PM to send in military; premier says health-care workers desperately needed;
– COVID crisis escalates;
– COVID- 19 Pandemic;
– turns out we’re not all in this together (we haven’t all drunk the Kool-Aid).

OK, for the sake of argument let’s agree to all of the above. So why continue to ignore this incredible opportunity to slay COVID?

On April 20th, New Dehli, AIIMs recommended Ivermectin be added to the take home care package. So people getting tested would be able to start early treatment. Just three weeks after adding Ivermectin, Delhi now leads India out of the deadly second surge of the COVID pandemic. Cases that had peaked at 28,395 on April 20 plummeted nearly 80% to just 6,430 on May 15. Deaths peaked May 4, and now they are also down 25%.

Astonishing results no? So then why not give IVERMECTIN a chance? Manitoba we are told is facing COVID armageddon. Ever heard of ‘any port in a storm’? So then what do we have to lose by giving Ivermectin a go? Nothing. It doesn’t kill people but COVID does. What do we have to gain? Everything if it works it saves lives. Ah.. but what would that tell us about the necessity of the lockdowns and the damage we would know were unnecessarily inflicted? Oh oh. IMO those responsible are not about to ever allow that question to be answered.
